Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Lert (the "app" and the service at lert.dev). By using Lert, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What Lert does
Lert delivers push notifications to your device. You get a unique endpoint URL; anything that sends an HTTP request to it results in a notification on your device. The URL is the credential — anyone who has it can send you notifications, so keep it private and regenerate it in the app if it leaks.
Acceptable use
Use Lert to notify yourself and devices you control. You must not:
- Use it to send unsolicited messages to people who haven't chosen to receive them.
- Send unlawful, abusive, or infringing content.
- Attempt to overload, probe, or disrupt the service, or bypass rate limits.
- Send secrets, passwords, or sensitive personal data — messages pass through our servers; treat a notification like a postcard.
We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or threatens the service.
Lert Pro subscription
Lert Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, US$2.99/month (or the local equivalent), giving unlimited channels, unlimited notifications (subject to a fair-use cap of 10,000/day), and 30-day history.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription auto-renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Purchases are handled by Apple and are also subject to Apple's standard licence terms. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
Free tier and changes
The free tier is offered as-is and its limits (currently one channel and 50 notifications a day) may change. We may change features, limits, or pricing; material changes to paid terms won't affect your current billing period.
No warranty
Lert is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Notification delivery depends on third parties (Apple, Google, and network providers) and is not guaranteed. Don't rely on Lert as the sole channel for anything safety-critical.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lert and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for missed, delayed, or undelivered notifications. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under applicable consumer law (including the Australian Consumer Law) that cannot lawfully be excluded.
